on cancellations from this week until next month. the group representing the airlines says the greatest number of these storm cancellations were truly driven by weather alone. in the last few years airlines have been canceling flights earlier because of weather to avoid thousands of passengers camping out in airports. we ve seen video. they want to keep planes out of snow bound cities where they want to keep the fleets running where there is no snow. von cordle of airline forecast, there is no doubt about it, airlines are canceling flights because they don t want to be stuck paying $27,000 a passenger. analysts are looking at this and perhaps when more information comes in they will have something a little more definitive. patti ann? patti ann: rich edson of fox business network thanks. rick: a quick break. when we come back they are a symbol for less taxes and smaller government but there are reports that tea party members in congress actually cost americans $1 billion in pork. how co
