Casa Garden Restaurant, best known for its charity works and hosting large banquets, will close after nearly 50 years in Sacramento.
The restaurant closure, which was announced Monday by board members of Los Niños Service League, will become effective Feb. 1, according to the restaurant’s business website. Operational difficulties brought on by the pandemic led to the closure, Fox40 reports.
“Mostly being run by volunteers, I think over time, that became a bit of a challenge but certainly the strain of the pandemic has hit them pretty hard,” Dr. David Baker, president and CEO of the Sacramento Children’s Home, told Fox40.
