Another step before the much anticipated West Point to Scribner four-lane expressway project can begin is about to be taken. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to analyze the effects of the proposed U.S. Highway 275 Expressway is now ready for public comment. The EIS was prepared for the highway layout proposed by the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT), which proposes to expand US-275 from a two-lane highway to a four-lane expressway along an approximately 20-mile segment from northwest of West Point to southeast of Scribner.
