No. 22 Florida hit a rough patch when star forward Keyontae Johnson saw his season ended earlier because of heart problems, but the Gators are amid a four-game winning streak that includes wins over No. 11 Tennessee and No. 17 West Virginia. They’ll host South Carolina on Wednesday in hopes of extending their rise.
Florida (10-4, 6-3) is second to Alabama in the SEC, and hasn’t lost to a conference opponent since it fell to Mississippi State by three points in mid-January. Four Gators are averaging double-digits in points, and Tre Mann has emerged as their leading scorer and assist man. Florida s well-rounded team has managed to get the job done without a go-to guy lately and will look to stay hot against a South Carolina team that s struggled to get results.
