COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Four Clemson volleyball players, Colleen Finney, Camryn Hannah, Mckenna Slavik and Devan Taylor, are making the journey to the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado for the USA Volleyball Women’s National Team Open Program, formerly known as the Open Tryout. The Open Program runs from Feb. 25-27.The Open Program is part of the selection process for the U.S. Women’s National Team, USA Volleyball’s NCAA Elite Athlete List and the 2022 U.S. Women’s Collegiate National Team. PITTSBURGH, PA - Despite a strong start at the beginning of each set, the Clemson Volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 2 Pittsburgh (15-0, 5-0 ACC) in three sets, 21-25, 18-25, 17-25. Clemson (10-6, 2-3 ACC) is now 2-1 on the road in ACC play and the Tigers have played two top-three teams in their last three matches. Clemson came out the gate swinging in their best set of the match, hitting .448 in the first set behind Cate Long (4 kills) Camryn Hannah (3 kills), Kaylee Martin (3 kills), and Colleen Finney (3 kills). After a kill by Martin to give Clemson a 21-20 lead, Pittsburgh went on a 5-0 run to take the set victory. The Tigers kept it competitive throughout the second and third sets with multiple lead changes and ties, but Pittsburgh’s .351 hitting percentage for the night was able to power through the Clemson defense.
