OGDEN A northern Utah man accused of falsifying his deceased wife s will to give himself property and other assets is facing criminal charges. Jody Allen Rhorer, 43, of Eden, Weber County, was charged Monday in 2nd District Court with computer crimes interfering with critical infrastructure, a second-degree felony; plus two counts of fraudulent handling of recordable writings and two counts of recording a false or forged instrument, both third-degree felonies. According to charging documents, Rhorer was married to Deone Ehlers-Rhorer, 54, who died on Aug. 22. Ehlers-Rhorer was the owner of Lady Bug Realty in Ogden. In November, Rhorer used Ehlers-Rhorer s login and password information and assigned himself through the Utah Department of Commerce as the principal agent of the property management group, Four Boys Investments LLC, the charging documents state.

Charges filed against Utah man accused of posing as late wife to forge her will © Provided by KUTV Salt Lake City Criminal charges filed against a Weber County man accuse him of posing as his late wife in order to forge her will for his financial benefit.  Court documents, filed in the Second District Court Monday, state 43-year-old Jody Allen Rhorer is facing felony charges of recording a false or forged instrument, fraudulent handling of recordable writings and computer crime.  Rhorer reportedly made changes to his late wife s registered agent information with Four Boys Investments, LLC through the Utah Department of Commerce on Nov. 23.

OGDEN — An Eden-area man faces five felony counts in connection with his alleged attempt to create a false will in the name of his late wife in an apparent bid to secure control of her assets. Jody Rhorer, 43, is being held without bail at the Weber County jail stemming from the charges relating to the assets and will of Deone Ehlers-Rhorer, his wife, who died Aug. 26. Ehlers-Rhorer, 54 when she died, was a longtime real estate agent in Weber County and the owner of Lady Bug Realty in Ogden. The Weber County Attorney’s Office filed the charges on Monday, and Sean Brian, a deputy attorney, described Rhorer’s alleged efforts to secure control of several properties belonging to his wife and to create the false will in a probable cause statement. Rhorer faces one count of committing a computer crime, a second-degree felony; two counts of fraudulent handling of a public document, third-degree felonies; and two counts of registering a false document, also third-degree felo
