Liverpool Township Officers responded to two calls related to scams in the East Liverpool area. One woman reported at 7:48 p.m. Dec. 9 that the suspects tried to sign her up for a doorbell security system from ADT, and she had presented a $15 check to initiate the contract in exchange or their promise that her current contract with Brinks would be paid off. Not only had that check never been cashed, there was a $84.63 charge made to her account and the Brinks’ account not paid off. A second woman, who was the original victim, reported at 10:26 p.m. Dec. 11 that an unknown male showed up at her Price Street residence to allegedly remove the ADT system that you no longer wished to have.
Dec 16, 2020 Deputies responded to a Bell Road, Elkrun Township address at 8:40 p.m. Saturday to investigate a person who had reportedly been injured. The person had been accidentally struck by a pellet gun and refused treatment from EMS. A Lower Elkton Road, Fairfield Township, man reported at 9:38 a.m. Sunday his ATV with two chain saws strapped onto it was removed from his barn and parked outside as if someone was attempting to steal them. A Buffalo Road, West Township, woman reported at 9:29 a.m. Sunday someone drove through her yard. A Valley Road, Butler Township, woman reported at 11:10 a.m. Sunday a patient there believed her cell phone had been stolen.
