Calamatta Cuschieri has been awarded the national HR Quality Mark by the Foundation for Human Resources Development (FHRD).
An initiative launched by the FHRD last year, the HR Quality Mark is a national recognition granted to organisations which have proven to have high-quality HR practices.
Following a rigorous onsite audit, the group’s HR function achieved exceptional results and was recognised for its professionalism, competence and contribution, as well as its effective practices in the field of human resources. More specifically, the department was evaluated across a wide array of HR practices, namely the selection and recruitment of talent, HR policies and practices, compensation and benefits given to employees, performance management, HR information systems, employment and industrial relations, as well as training and development of staff. The HR Quality Mark is awarded for a period of three years.
The Foundation for Human Resources (FHRD) has awarded its Quality Mark to Melita Limited after a thorough assessment of the company’s human resources practices. The FHRD’s Quality Mark is awarded to those organisations which score at least 75 per cent in each of the seven areas assessed.
Jacqueline Abela, head of HR at Melita Limited, said: “Melita strives to create a positive and inclusive environment where all our employees can grow and develop. The FHRD’s recognition of our efforts highlights the progress we have made, especially given the very difficult circumstances of the past year. Looking forward we will continue to work hard to make Melita a great place to work, grow and succeed.”
Farsons Group has been awarded the HR Quality Mark for Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, EcoPure Ltd, Quintano Foods Ltd and Farsons Beverage Imports Company Ltd by the Foundation for Human Resources (FHRD).
FHRD launched the national HR Quality Mark earlier this year. Through this award, organisations are recognised for their effective practices in human resources. It recognises professionalism, competence and contribution of the HR function and recognises organisations that place people at the centre of their business through the right policies and strategies on the various elements of HR.
The Farsons Group companies were each evaluated and awarded top results after an evaluation across a range of HR elements, including HR policies and practices, recruitment, selection, talent management, compensation and benefits, employment and industrial relations, performance management, HR information systems and training and development.
