Officers were searching for a suspect with an outstanding warrant when they saw a man now identified as Keith Lamont Scott getting out of his car with a gun. They engage him and one of the officers felt a legal threat and fired his weapon because of that. Blocks away from the police station. 1 28 am in the morning, our officers heard sounds of gunfire coming from locust street. Reporter police say that brown was inside the bar before he was shot three times in the back. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries shortly after police say about 30 people were in the area at the time.
