2021 Foundation Celebration recap
A NIGHT TO REMEMBER
The National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) hosted the virtual 2021 Foundation Celebration on Tuesday, March 2 in conjunction with CUNA GAC. The virtual fundraising event was an uplifting evening spent with past Wegner Award winners to celebrate all the great work credit unions have been doing during the pandemic.
The Foundation Celebration was presented by Visa, a proud supporter and advocate for the Foundation and for credit unions. Throughout the evening, participants were asked to text to give to make an impact. The Foundation is so thankful for the generosity of our movement, and so far $6,000 has been raised to improve people’s financial lives through credit unions.
Once again, it’s time for CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference! As we go virtual for the 2021 version of the CUNA GAC, things will definitely be a little bit different than years past, but as always it should be an exciting and informative experience. Great speakers: One thing we all love about GAC is the many great speakers we get to hear from year-in and year-out. Even though we’re not in D.C. together this year, the speaker lineup won’t disappoint. Retired Lt. General H.R. McMaster will kick things off with the first keynote address on Tuesday. Inspire your credit union through the Foundation Celebration

It’s a new year, a time to reset and realign our mission as credit unions and our purpose serving members. The National Credit Union Foundation is committed to inspiring credit unions to leverage their cooperative values to empower and motivate employees. One way we do this is through our annual Herb Wegner Memorial Awards Dinner.
Due to the pandemic, the Foundation has shifted our signature fundraising dinner to a virtual Foundation Celebration on March 2. The Celebration is an hour-long program to highlight the amazing work of credit unions and will bring together some of our favorite past Wegner Awardees to be inspired by their work in our movement.
