a story of politics. casey, this story has certainly got a quick response from republican senators. they don t like what they heard here. the initial response it sounds to me go away. i think they already felt that about roy moore if they couldn t say it in public. you ticked through his other views that they were excited, they come around to accepting it. i think the speed and state forwardness with which they have ve jeked roy moore based on the allegations in this story is remarkable and i think it is a reflection of the cultural moment and the cultural change we are going through. i think it s more than the politics of roy moore and they found him to be objectionable. i think they found this something that cannot stand and i think there is an instinct now to believe the woman who is coming forward with these charges. 51 now. that is a new phenomenon.
what was your first thought when you heard that the fbi investigation into the rauschus hacking, i don t know when the trump part started but the russian hacking started in july. i think it just affirmed people s suspicions that the fbi was playing one standard in terms of how talkative he was about the clinton investigation and was following another when it came to trump. we always thought there must be an investigation. we don t know when the trump part of it started. that s fair. i was surprised by the degree of forwardness from james comey today. i think that, if you are the trump white house, you re probably going in expecting one of two different situations. number one, that he would decline to comment at all about the existence of an investigation or, two, if he did, he would immediately qualify it by giving a statement akin to what jim clapper said where he says we don t yet have
