The sales tax, which provided $5.6 million in 2020 that was split between the parks and fire departments, gives the two departments revenue to make upgrades such as those seen recently at Harley Wilson Park. Set to expire Sept. 22, 2022, if not renewed through a vote, the board recently discussed what the tax means for the city.
