Thousands of people who were forced to flee their homes due to a wildfire burning out of control near Fort Nelson, B.C., will be allowed to return Monday, according to officials.
Northern Health advised residents Tuesday afternoon that there may be overnight service interruptions to the emergency department at the Chetwynd Hospital and Health Centre.

FORT NELSON, B.C. -The healthcare team in Fort Nelson is doing everything they can to care for patients efficiently despite a lack of resources and staff.
Northern Health posted on social media about the team’s daily meetings, highlighting the importance of interprofessional communication with limited resources.
