City Kids and Lily’s Leaping summer camps will offer a new fun theme each week. Discovery Center summer camps provide opportunities for curious young scientists to learn more about the world around them. Junior Historians summer camp will explore local history and nature with young adventurers.

Ocala Symphony Orchestra Chamber Winds: On Feb. 27, the Ocala Symphony Orchestra Chamber Winds will perform Beethoven’s Octet for winds in E-flat and Dvořák’s Serenade for Wind Instruments. Third annual Grit Strength Challenge: The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department, in partnership with CrossFit Iron Legion, will host the annual GRIT Strength Challenge from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 27 at Fort King National Historic Landmark, 3925 E. Fort King St., Ocala. Fifty percent of proceeds from this event will go toward special projects and programming at the Fort King National Historic Landmark. Free to the public. Southeastern Youth Fair: Marion County’s historic Southeastern Youth Fair has been running since 1941; this year’s event takes place Feb. 19-27 at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion, 2232 NE Jacksonville Road, Ocala. Discovery Center Date Night: A unique kid-free experience from 6:30-9 p.m. Feb. 19 just for adults at The Discovery Center, 701 NE Sanchez Ave., Ocala. Guests may enjoy light appetizers, drinks and chances to enjoy the center, including the “Chain Reaction Charlie” exhibit.
