last time an afghan soldier deserted the base was in january. some of the original 17 missing men have been accounted for but others are still out there. national correspondent katherine herridge is working her sources and will give us a live update on this developing story coming up. the army is investigating a deadly shooting at a base in georgia. it happened at fort gillem in atlanta. one reservist was killed and another is in custody. the victim was shot several times. officials are not sure how the kill shooter and victim knew each other. the army post is scheduled to close next year. times square bombing suspect faisal shasaud expected to be arraigned on monday after a grand jury indicted him on 10 terror weapons charges. that is double what the pakistani born u.s. citizen faced. first time shows how he got allegedly training, and
learn we are training this many afghans at a base in the united states. is this pretty common? well, the issue of training these foreign students here is really underreported. what we learned today talking to the air force base is that in 2009, only two other students who were not from afghanistan went missing. one was an iraqi and the other was from east africa. so this larger group, even though it s over an 18 month period is fairly uncommon. really the bottom line here is that the majority of these men are still unaccounted for. and they have these i.d. s that do give them access to secure military facilities inside the united states. catherine herridge in washington. catherine, thank you. update on breaking news from last night s fox report. military officials say they now have in custody the army reservist who killed a fellow soldier yesterday. an army spokesman says the shooter turned himself in to a police station last night. long after a shooting in fort gillem in georgia.
