WATERFORD Waterford High School was evacuated Thursday after it received a bomb threat around 1:45 p.m. from a male caller.
Chief Deputy Mark Warden of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were on scene with the county’s bomb dog.
Dogs from Ohio University were also called in and the sheriff’s department was waiting on a call from Muskingum County, Warden said.
Text notices also went out to parents in the Fort Frye School District. The elementary and high schools were on lockdown as a safety precaution, which lasted until dismissal.
No further information was available Thursday night.
