City of Fort Collins Warns of Mountain Lion Activity Near the ELC
The City of Fort Collins is warning residents about active mountain lion activity near the Colorado State University Environmental Learning Center and surrounding vicinity.
Back in the fall, a mountain lion was spotted roaming along the Poudre River corridor, and recent trail camera footage from the ELC showed that at least one lion is still in the area.
Although interactions with mountain lions are extremely rare, the City of Fort Collins wants to remind residents that it s important to keep safety in mind when visiting places in the vicinity of the ELC, including Running Deer Natural Area, and Cottonwood Hollow Natural Area.
