With the pandemic nearly in the rearview Colorado agriculture producers and retailers are taking a look back at how unprecedented times changed the way they do business. They’re also sharing what helped them succeed during a virtual roundtable hosted by the CDA’s Colorado Proud Program.
Elizabeth Mozer, Founder, and CEO of Fort Collins-based LoCo Food Distribution tells producers who want to sell to wholesale buyers that flexibility is key as Colorado agriculture supply chains recover.
Mozer: “ And really be able to listen to what they are asking you for. ..being open to that and being ready to change packaging, make sure that your labels are correct and accurate and follow all the rules. And make sure that your products are in a size that is appealing for wholesale producers.”
