Alliance Academy Wins innovateUNG High School Pitch Challenge

Reply Three students from Alliance Academy for Innovation won the 2021 innovateUNG High School Pitch Challenge last month. (Provided by the University of North Georgia) CUMMING, GA Three students from Alliance Academy for Innovation won the 2021 innovateUNG High School Pitch Challenge on Feb. 16. All seven public Forsyth County high schools took part in the event, which was hosted virtually by the University of North Georgia s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Varoon Kadithala, Bradley Litsch and Arnav Patidar won a total of $1,500 to aid their Powabites innovation: $1,000 for finishing in first place and $500 for their selection as crowd favorite. They advanced to the March 16 virtual innovateUNG Pitch Challenge, where they will compete against University of North Georgia student teams.

Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation high school competition set for Feb. 16 The innovateUNG High School Pitch Challenge will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16. More than a year ago, the University of North Georgia s (UNG) Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation devised a competition to help Forsyth County high school students flex their entrepreneurial muscles while being coached by UNG students. Though the format has changed, the mission remains the same for the innovateUNG High School Pitch Challenge. This year s event will be held virtually at 6 p.m. Feb. 16 and those who would like to watch the free event should preregister. The teams and judges will each be in their own separate locations and video-conference in for the event.
