Every Wednesday, Jordan Lee â 6½, heâs quick to note â walks a loop in his neighborhood with his parents, tugging mobile trash bins bigger than he is to the curb.
Over and over and over again, he marches (with permission) up driveways into side and backyards to do his neighbors a solid.
Heâll repeat the trip for the recycling container and then peer into trash bins to make absolutely certain that nothing recyclable winds up in the landfill.
Heâs doing a good deed, of course; thatâs part of the reason for his weekly rounds. But the bigger reason is that Jordan is truly interested in waste management and recycling. He knows why it matters, the impact on the planet and best practices.
âCoolâ is the word Graham Pritz-Bennett uses when he talks about âThe Desiringâ being screened in his hometown of Winston-Salem at the RiverRun International Film Festival.
He is the writer, producer and cinematographer for the film. Although the world premiere, in-person screening was on the SECCA lawn May 11, people can still view the film virtually May 13 and 14.
âI hate that I canât see the world premiere of my film in person, be present at RiverRun, and of course, see my family,â said Graham Pritz-Bennett, who is in the United Kingdom.
âThe Desiring,â which was filmed in Winston-Salem in November 2016, is his first feature film.

The CFA boys tennis team is undefeated this season. En route to the finals, the Hurricanes did not lose a single match, shutting out Fayetteville Christian School and Cary Christian School before defeating Asheville School on Tuesday. The Hurricanes boys tennis team hosts the other top seed, Forsyth County Day School, who also has not dropped a match on the way to the finals.
