FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - Deputies in Forrest County manage to arrest two people in the Brooklyn community area last week.
According to the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office, deputies put together a vehicle safety checkpoint in the Brooklyn/Carnes area.
One of the vehicles that came to the checkpoint was an older model Ford Focus driven by a woman, later identified as Tammy Rasberry.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - A Hattiesburg man was arrested on a variety of felony charges after burglarizing a home Friday morning.
According to the Hattiesburg Police Department spokesman Ryan Moore, Nathan Berryhill, 37, of Hattiesburg, was arrested in the 800 block of Crestview Drive, after burglarizing a home around 9 a.m.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - A suspect who pleaded guilty to the capital murder of a beloved Hattiesburg grocery store owner earlier this month was sentenced to life in prison Thursday.
Christopher âFat Boyâ Tyce, 28, will spend the rest of his life behind bars without the possibility for parole after being sentenced by Forrest County Circuit Court Judge Robert Helfrich.
Nguyenâs husband and one of their daughters made emotional statements to Tyce and the court before Helfrich delivered his sentence. They shared what a wonderful wife and mother Nguyen had been.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - A suspect involved in an apartment shooting that left one person wounded Friday night has turned himself in to authorities Saturday.
According to Hattiesburg Police Department spokesperson Ryan Moore, it was learned through investigation that an apartment on 1810 Country Club Road, at Bonhomie Apartments, was shot into after an altercation around 9 p.m. Friday.
