Trader Joe s is making strides in opening a new location at 555 Franklin in Hayes Valley.
The grocery retailer known for its fair pricing and unusual products (think cauliflower gnocchi) submitted its application in late March to the San Francisco Planning Department to open a store in a vacant retail space at the bottom level of the retail-condo complex.
