One of the serious bidders are the Brisbane Firehawks, who are competing for the NRL’s 17th licence along with the Redcliffe Dolphins and Brisbane Jets. The Firehawks are being funded by the Brisbane Tigers, better known as Easts Tigers, who have been around since 1934.
