Former Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou has vowed to return Celtic to the top of Scottish football after being appointed manager of the Glasgow giants.
Celtic confirmed Postecoglouâs expected appointment on Thursday night, with the ex-Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory coach set to arrive in Scotland imminently from Japan, where he had been in charge of Yokohama F. Marinos.
After winning the Scottish title for nine successive years, Celtic finished second in the recently completed season to arch rivals Rangers.
The former Socceroos boss joins the Scottish football giant, adding another chapter to his decorated coaching career that includes victories in the Asian Cup and J-League.
