NSA Monguno makes U-turn on allegation of missing arms money
Mr Monguno had said funds running into billions of naira meant for procurement of arms and ammunition under the immediate past service chiefs were unaccounted for.

The National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Mongono, has said he was quoted out of context on the allegations he made against the immediate past service chiefs.
He said this in a statement by his office on Friday.
Mr Monguno had in an interview with BBC Hausa revealed that funds running into billions of naira meant for the procurement of arms and ammunition
President Muhammadu Buhari replaced the service chiefs led by Gabriel Olonishakin, the former chief of defence staff.

ABUJA – THE National Security Adviser, NSA, Major General Babagana Monguno (retd) has denied media report quoting him as saying in an interview with the BBC Housa Service that funds meant for arms procurement were missing under the Former Service Chiefs.
The NSA in a statement from his Office in Abuja, Friday, said that he was quoted out of context as he did not categorically say such a thing.
