JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Former Jacksonville Sheriff Nathaniel “Nat” Glover will be inducted on Saturday into the Florida Law Enforcement Officers’ Hall of Fame.
Glover, 78, a law enforcement veteran with decades of experience, rose through the ranks of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and was elected Florida’s first Black sheriff since the Reconstruction era in 1995.
Glover told News4Jax a little run-in with the law when he was growing up in Jacksonville shaped his future as a cop.
