There was little discussion in Tuesday’s meeting. The commission merely listened to some final remarks before upholding the decision. In fact, Commissioner Cynthia Pic said there were two companies other than Homewav that would have been considered to take over the contract before the committee came back around to considering Reliance again. The Grand Forks County Commission unanimously voted to uphold its previous decision to award Homewav a contract to become the Grand Forks County Correctional Center’s new phone system provider.

Representatives from Homewav spoke at the Administrative Services Committee meeting on Tuesday, July 13, attempting to counter a presentation made by representative from Reliance Connect at the previous Grand Forks County Commission meeting.
Both companies previously submitted proposals and are vying to become the Grand Forks County Correctional Center’s new phone system provider. A decision will not be made until the County Commission meeting on July 20.
