KOBE Abobo, 22, appeared in the custody of the Department of Corrections before Superior Court Associate Judge Wesley Bogdan for a bail hearing Monday morning.
At around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, a Missoula Police Department Officer was dispatched to the Walgreens located on North Reserve Street for a report of a male attempting to make a purchase with a check and identification that did not match the his physical appearance.
When the officer arrived, she made contact with the manager of the Walgreens who informed her that the male, later identified as 41-year-old Brent Giroux, had already left the store. The manager informed the officer that Giroux had attempted to purchase seemingly random items, including high dollar electric toothbrushes and several gift cards for a total of $888.43.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Alleged members of a check-forging ring were indicted Thursday in Hamilton County.
Authorities say they got away with $129,000 in items from several local stores before they were caught.
The group of seven started their scam four years ago, according to Assistant Hamilton County Prosecutor Andy Berghausen.
One of the main ring leaders had just finished a three-year prison sentence for nearly the same crime, Berghausen explains.
