A 32 year old Walpole Island man is facing charges in Windsor in connection with a hit and run over the weekend.
Windsor police were called to Forest Glade Drive about 2:30 am and witnesses told the officer a man in a blue Ford sedan hit a parked car and took off.
Later that morning, police found the car on fire and the man was gone.
The suspect was arrested a short while later, Police then found a home on fire – before it was extinguished had caused half a million dollars in damage.
The accused is charged with arson of a vehicle, arson with disregard for human life, and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
