CONWAY After trailing 1-0 at halftime, Green Forest came out of the locker room and played a dominant final 40 minutes on Saturday. It put four goals on the board and ran away from Central Arkansas Christian to win the Class 3A boys soccer state championship for the second consecutive year and the third time in the last four years with a 4-1 triumph.
The Siloam Springs Lady Panthers powered their way through the first three rounds of the Class 5A state tournament by outscoring their three opponents by a combined score of 14-3.
CONWAY Green Forest has yet to match the levels of sustained success that the two high school soccer programs who won before them Saturday: De Queen s boys (seven titles) and Harrison s girls (eight titles, including five since 2014).
