在淇县卫都街道关庄村爱国主义教育基地，一座革命烈士纪念碑记录了一段可歌可泣的红色历史，永远纪念在革命斗争中光荣牺牲的潘麦生、李白小等4位革命烈士。 7月13日，记者来到关庄村，听村民讲述了革命烈士潘麦生的英勇事迹。出身贫寒，受尽欺凌 “潘麦生是个苦命的人，但他胆子大，面对日本人的压榨，他组织矿工集体罢工与日本人对抗。”关庄村71岁的关金贵说，他的父亲关林堂曾与潘麦生一同被人贩子卖到黄丹沟煤矿（位于山西省寿阳县）做苦工，他时常听父亲提起潘麦生的事迹。解放后，他曾参与审讯陷害潘麦生的叛徒，他翻阅过大量的历史资料，了解烈士潘麦生的事迹。关金贵介绍，1944年，当时18岁的潘麦生逃回家中，不幸的是他又遭遇了人贩子，被卖到黄丹沟煤矿做苦工。黄丹沟煤矿由日本人开设，四周高墙上有电网封
