雲林四番地社區復育600株「雞母株」苗木 - 生活

二崙鄉四番地社區大人、小孩今天在四番地保安林栽植600株「雞母株」苗木，雞母株鮮紅色種子很漂亮，但有毒性，據了解，社區復育栽植是因，早年社區民眾會撿種子做成手工藝品，後來因數量減少，居民撿種子育苗，把雞母株再種回步道。四番地社區志工們一早在保安林步道忙進忙出，大家開心一起把雞母株苗木種在步道兩旁，林務局南投林區管理處長李政賢表示，四番地保安林生態資源豐富，近幾年成為民眾休閒遊憩的熱門景點，林管處也輔導社區民眾一起管理經營保安林，包括移除外來種與生態造林等。
