KABUL – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Haneef Atmar, in a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palestine, Mr. Riyad Al-Maliki, condemned the escalation of attacks and encroachment on the Palestinian people during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr, calling the bloody attacks unacceptable for the Islamic countries and the world’s peace-loving nations. Minister Atmar called for an immediate end to the violence in the region.
Minister Atmar conveyed H.E. President Ashraf Ghani and the people of Afghanistan’s deepest condolences to the Palestinian government and people for the martyrdom of dozens of civilians, including women and children, and prayed for swift recovery of the injured.
Turkey condemns Israeli police attacks against Palestinian worshipers at al-Aqsa mosque
ANKARA, Saturday, May 08, 2021 (WAFA) – Turkey strongly condemned the attacks by Israeli forces against the Palestinians worshipping in al-Aqsa Mosque, which left many Palestinian civilians injured, today said Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press statement.
“We urge the Israeli government, which caused the incidents of this evening by targeting the freedom of worship of the Palestinian people and the status of al-Haram al-Sharif during the month of Ramadan, to put an end to its aggressive and provocative policies and act with common sense,” it said.
“Today, the steps that can be taken in the international fora were discussed with Riad Malki, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palestine, who is visiting our country upon the invitation of Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Turkey will continue to support the just cause of the Palestinian people,” the statement conc
