(Latvian Public Broadcasting) The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights is to organise a parliamentary hearing by videoconference on the subject of “the poisoning of Alexey Navalny” on Tuesday 19th January 2021, beginning at around 11:30 am Rīga Time.
Participants in the hearing, organised in the framework of a report being prepared by Jacques Maire (France, ALDE), are due to include Alexey Navalny, Founder of the Anti-Corruption Foundation in Russia, though whether this will be permitted by the authorities in Russia following his recent arrest is doubtful.
Christo Grozev, lead investigator at online investigators Bellingcat, the organization that spectacularly exposed the Russian security services role in Navalny s poisoning, will also take part.
