Ive been always a civilian and i have worked in congress. Ive been in the pentagon for several tours and ive been in private industry. Always working on defense issues. I had not known until i started researching that henry ford and Thomas Edison were at the forefront of this. Idea come to you for telling the story at this time . This is my 22nd book. What i do when i try to do when i write nonfiction books is to go everywhere where the people i write about went. Id rather drive and that way you really get a sense of place. Somewhere along the line in the 30,000 or so miles i drive every year i started wondering how we got to be a country, a culture where we take for granted and we can get in a car and go anywhere we want to. Good morning. We were informed an hour and a half ago by the attorney for the investors the state department would refuse to allow him to testify today. This was after conversations well into yesterday afternoon and evening with the state Department Legal advisor where there was no indication the ambassador would be a noshow. Not only is congress being deprived of his testimony, the people are being deprived of his testimony. We are aware the ambassador has Text Messages or emails on a personal device which was provided to the state department, although we requested this the state , department is withholding those messages.
