Ford is recalling nearly 200,000 large SUVs because the heating and cooling fan motors can fail and catch fire. The recall covers Ford Expeditions and Lincoln.
At the time of the first recall, Ford didn t know what was causing the fires. But the company said it had traced the cause to printed circuit boards that are susceptible to an electrical short, reports PTI.
The report adds that the problem can increase the risk of inadvertent rollaway crashes. There is also a reported recall of nearly 50,000 electric vehicles.
