Danny Wimmer Presents to bring concerts back to former Ford Festival Park

OSHKOSH – Live music will return to the former Ford Festival Park this summer. Los Angeles-based promoter Danny Wimmer Presents has signed a long-term lease with the property owners of the former Ford Festival Park in Oshkosh, the company announced Wednesday. The 200-acre piece of land, now known as Ford Park Live, previously hosted longtime music festivals Country USA and Rock USA. Both festivals annually drew about 200,000 people but were canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The two festivals then shut down for good when their promoter, Neenah-based Hypervibe Inc., filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in October. DWP has worked closely with Winnebago County, the city of Oshkosh and town of Nekimi and plans to host a “few select concerts” this summer to reestablish the site as a viable outdoor live music venue, according to a press release. Information on specific shows will be released in the coming weeks and months, the release said.

Los Angeles-based live event promoter and producer, Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP), announced it has signed a new, long-term lease with the property owners of the former Ford Festival Park site in Oshkosh. The 200-acre piece of land, renamed Ford Park Live, was owned and operated by Hypervibe before it filed for bankruptcy last year, ending the annual Country USA and Rock USA events. DWP says it was been working closely with the city of Oshkosh, Winnebago County and the town of Nekimi to formalize plans for a fresh venue concept on the property.
