Ford never made a widebody Mustang, but that hasn’t stopped a few loyal Ford fans from chasing the car of their dreams. From photos discovered in the Ford Archives, it appears Santa Claus was thinking about trading in his sleigh for a Bronco.
Ford Motor Company said in a press release that their archives manager found unpublished images from 1968 of Santa checking out the Gen-1 Bronco. The images have been waiting to be discovered for 52 years.
Ford said the images show Santa in Ford product development s cold room labs in Dearborn; the images are believed to have been shot at the time with the intent to run in Ford World, a bi-weekly newspaper.
