Webber is wrapping up her 33rd year of teaching, and had loosely planned to make it to 35 years before retiring. But in part because of the intensity of the last year, and in part because of the medical and care needs of her family, the 2020-2021 school year will be her last. Rice Lake was teaching students in person all but one week of this school year, but kept a virtual option for students whose families weren’t comfortable sending them to a classroom, or for those who were out quarantining due to possible exposure.
