Sawnee EMC’s Operation Round Up gives away over $26,000 to local charities and projects
Sawnee EMC will be distributing over $26,000 to local charities and projects in Dawson and other surrounding counties through its Operation Round Up program, according to a press release by the organization.
“The Foundation Board approved $22,829 for local charitable organizations and $4,288.03 for its Bright Ideas teachers grants,” the release said.
The organizations that received money from the program include the Good Shepherd Clinic of Dawson County and K.A.R.E. for Kids, as well as For Her Glory, Families of Children Under Stress and Mentor Me North Georgia. Several schools also received Bright Ideas grants through the program, including Black’s Mill Elementary School in Dawson County.
