Walpole Footlighters reopen with Sharon couples' play

COURTESY OF THE WALPOLE FOOTLIGHTERS Longtime Sharon residents Alan and Laura Rosenspan decided to do something different during the pandemic. “All the news was so dark and gloomy we decided to do something to make people laugh,” said Laura Rosenspan.  The couple began writing comedy plays something they had always enjoyed attending before the pandemic. “We were always big community theatre fans,” explained Alan Rosenspan. “We missed going to shows. So we thought, ‘Why not write our own?’” After writing three plays, Alan and Laura took a chance and sent them to The Walpole Footlighters. The Footlighters decided to reopen their theater with a staged reading of one of the plays, “Open House.” After each performance, the audience will have the chance to offer feedback to the playwrights and performers with the goal of improving the play.
