Democrats are on the verge of delivering a big win to president obama on that agreement. 42 senators now back the accord and that is enough support to filibuster any vote of disapproval. Reporter we expected to see the house pick up debate on this bill and vote on it as early as friday, but there has been a delay, and you can chalk this up to some disarray and distent in the republican caucus. Some republicans are saying they want to postpone bringing the debate to the floor and voting on the bill. They say its because of socalled side deals when iran and the iaea. Does this mean that Senate Democrats will definitely filibuster to block any vote on the issue . As we know here in congress, nothings done until its really done. That 42 number is crucial for the white house because technically that is enough democrats to stop republicans from even bringing a disapproval resolution to the floor of the senate.
