The Bangabandhu National Stadium will host the matches of the second phase of Bangladesh Premier League until the ongoing lockdown ends as the tournament is set to be resumed on Friday.
“We are determined to resume the league on April 30. As the government has extended the ongoing lockdown for a week, we have decided to arrange all the matches at a centralized venue at BNS during the lockdown,” BFF’s Professional Football League Committee Chairman Abdus Salam Murshedy told the reporters on Wednesday.
The first phase of BPL was held in four different venues of the country.

The participating Bangladesh Premier League clubs agreed to resume the second phase of the league and put pressure on the BFF Professional Football League Committee to make a compatible fixture avoiding the congestion in the busy international window.
The discussion was held in a virtual emergency meeting, chaired by PFLC chairman and BFF senior vice-president Abdus Salam Murshedy, MP on Sunday.
BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag told The Daily Sun after the day’s meeting that they received feedback from clubs and now will send a compatible fixture to them before the next meeting that is expected to be held within two or three days.
