36 minutes past the hour right now. u.s. troops in iraq won t be home for the holidays sadly. so a group of football greats, players and coaches want to try to bring a little bit of fun to them. the bowl game experience. of course, a favorite this time of year. well, tonight, they ll be playing alongside american soldiers in a game of flag football. it s called connect to home bowl. it s a way to boost troop morale among other things. and joining us to talk more about it james kelly joins us from iraq. and you ve got some troops with you, as well. jim, welcome. thanks for being with us this morning. my pleasure. thank you for having us. i see you got rodney pete next to you, as well. tell us a little bit about why you wanted to go there. what does it mean to you personally to be out there and play this game with the troops in iraq? well, number when they asked

the story line. he apparently sounds like blew another chance that chicago was willing to give him. we ll turn things a little more positive. a retired football player trying to make a difference when it comes to traumatic brain injuries. he s legendary hall of fame quarterback, joe namath. broadway joe has helped open a research center looking into the injuries. he says experimental treatments are improving his memory. matt gutman is there. joe namath was good in the theater of football. famously guaranteeing a victory in super bowl iii and he was also good at taking hits. he still remembers some of the worst ones. it was a hard hit and a gold flash, man. i never forget that. did you know that you had had a concussion? no. absolutely not. all those hits took on new meaning for him after the suicides of football greats including junior seau. he says he suffered from forget. fulness so he had himself tested
