MPs are leading a fierce backlash against Iceland s buy now, pay later scheme, warning it will encourage cash-strapped shoppers to spend beyond their means
LONDON (Reuters) - British supermarket group Iceland Foods will allow shoppers to take out small, interest-free loans to buy groceries, it said on Wed.
As inflation continues to jack up grocery prices in the UK, supermarket Iceland Foods plans on offering customers small interest-free loans to struggling customers.
Iceland has partnered with charity lender Fair For You on the scheme. The UK initiative allows people to apply for a Food Club Card which is pre-loaded with an amount of between £25 and £75.
