Well, there are about a half a dozen investigators still out here tonight. Police say that no officers were hurt and that this all started when they got a call that a man was firing a gun in the neighborhood. And neighbors here on karma drive tell us they heard several shots fired around four this afternoon. San jose police say they were called to the area. Officers responded to the 2700 block of kohlmeyer avenue for a report of a person actively discharging a firearm. When officers arrived on scene, the suspect was still actively discharging a firearm, prompting an officer involved shooting. Police say the man shot suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, and no one else was hurt. Investigators are

Two starts now developing news tonight. Streets have been cleared and crowds dispersed just after a propalestinian demonstration intensified this afternoon. Hello again. Im greg lee and im julie julie haener. This was the scene as protesters came face to face with police. This video from around 930 this evening, where police in riot gear stood on one side of the barricade and chanting protesters on the other. The Police Standoff taking place near peoples park. It was loud and tense at times, but we did not see any violence. Demonstrators were given orders to disperse, but many chose to stay in place. Protesters near the corners of peoples park started tipping over planters. Some throwing trash cans into the street. Police forced a shut down the streets surrounding the university for a time.
