candidates. the problem is dilemma is, do you choose to be absent from the trial, which really gives you a serious negative with national voters in the democratic primary, or absent from iowa, which means that other people can make all of the stops in the living room. i would hate to have to make that decision. it s interesting to hear your candor on that. we have democratic politicians who try to spin it as, oh, everything will be fine. you re saying it s a challenge. it s a problem. on the other hand, you trust mitch mcconnell not to abuse the situation or extend it out. you trust mitch mcconnell 100%. about as much as i can lift this building, 30 rockefeller center. ah, you know, it s good. you re like a breath of fresh air on a friday. i want to turn to something else that s really important where you are in the news. people know you of someone who works here and you have your show. but you re also someone that s called on as a civil rights leader. and if folks don t know
networks you may understand who they are, they accuse us of raising taxes on the rich. so i think it sort of depends on how you look at it. we re not taking a political point of view here, we are actually going by nonpartisan groups like the committee for a responsible federal budget, all the impact on the exploding deficit, which will impact future generations. i do want to ask you, though, because the president has refused to talk about roy moore since he s back from his trip. and the white house is saying that he said on air force one he would talk about roy moore in alabama. you were a member of congress. this debate over sexual harassment has spread to politics as well as to every industry, starting with harvey weinstein. let s talk about roy moore and whether or not he should be the republican nominee and whether he should be seated if he s elected. i do think the president has talked about roy moore. i think he said that he thinks that the voters of alabama should decide. i
is it a moral issue? i think it is, and i m proud of those rockettes. i think it s valid for some of the rockettes to come out and say they re fearful they won t get their jobs back. what folks don t know is only a handful of rockettes are full-time and the rest of them are freelance. so you get your job based on if the folks at the top want you. if you re not doing what the people at the top say, your job is in jeopardy. i m proud that the resistance has made its way to the rockettes and we can t forget that donald trump disparaged women. he talked about grabbing them in the vagina, using words stronger than that, and all kinds of things. we cannot wash over what happened during the general election, the words donald trump has used himself, because that is who he is. mayor nutter, i have to ask you, i just spoke about taking the high road. where is the high road? should the rockettes take the high road and come together, as caylee said, as one america? i m not sure we know all t
voice out there. he s been trying to do that, came down with cornell west. but a lot of voters don t know who dr. west is, and he s extremely critical of barack obama. whereas hillary clinton has a long relationship with black voters with the exception of the hiccup during the 2008 campaign. you say the hiccup, but the 2008 campaign in this state, the primary campaign, this was sense. this was racially charged. this was bill clinton making statements that infuriated black leaders. is it surprising to you that with that experience hillary clinton is so far ahead with black voters? you think about a family, people who love each other can someti sometimes have a fight but come back together, that s what s happened with black voters and hillary clinton. and her lead is just immense. folks don t know bernie sanders and the argument that his argument would be well listened to by black voters is a little hard when they re not hearing
