The Tri-Cities Puentes Initiative has announced a line-up of events in Grand Haven to celebrate Hispanic heritage. The celebration will run from September 16-24.
City plans second International Festival of Holland
HOLLAND After COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the 2020 International Festival of Holland the city s International Relations Commission, which plans the event, is readying the second iteration of the event.
This year s International Festival, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, will bring together global music, dance, activities and cuisine for one day at the Holland Civic Center Place.
On the main stage inside the Civic Center, performers of music and dance styles from all over the world are on the lineup.
Performers include the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi, Holland Public Schools dance troupe Ballet Folklorico Sol Azteca, Flamenco dancers Compañeros de Flamenco, guitarist Neil Jacobs’ World 12 String Guitar, Japanese drumming ensemble Raion Taiko, African music, storytelling and spoken word performers Motherland House Concert, Sangeeta’s Music and Dance of India, Gratitude Steel Band, Cub
