Folkloric dancers from as far as Fresno performed at BC’s Edward Simonsen Performing Arts Center on Sept. 16 in celebration of Mexico’s Independence. The sold out Las Playas de Mexico was organized by the new Folklorico Ritmo y Sabor student club at Bakersfield College. The group welcomes members of the community as young as 13.
