FOCUS Dynamics Group Bhd has bought a 30% stake in LKL International Bhd for RM37.5m. LKL is principally involved in healthcare, healthcare equipment services, medical equipment, selected medical consumables and supplies.In a statement Friday, Focus Dynamic stated the corporate exercise helps the group to diversify its portfolio in the healthcare segment by expanding its lists of medical-related products and leverage on LKL’s supplier network.LKL has a major market share in Malaysia, and supplies products to 50 countries worldwide.

LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia ended the week higher, extending gains for the third day running today, bucking the regional trend, on continued buying support in the telecommunications and media sectors.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI ended 9.85 points firmer at 1,612.25 compared with Thursday’s close of 1,602.40.
The index opened 12.55 points higher at 1,614.95, and moved between 1,605.37 and 1,615.49 throughout the session.
However, on the broader market, losers beat gainers 558 versus 511, while 453 counters were unchanged, 636 untraded and nine others suspended.
Total volume decreased to 6.58 billion shares valued at RM4.14 billion from 7.6 billion shares valued at RM4.89 billion on Thursday.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 Bursa Malaysia remained higher at mid-morning today, as bargain hunting emerged in heavyweight stocks after two days of losses.
At 11.00am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) gained 5.24 points to 1,584.15 from Tuesday’s close of 1,578.91.
The index opened 5.47 points higher at 1,584.38.
On the broader market, losers beat gainers 445 versus 381, while 443 counters were unchanged, 863 untraded and 10 others suspended.
Total volume stood at 2.23 billion shares worth RM1.14 billion.
